Central Illinois Pickleball Club Indoor Open Play Season

"Sunday Funday"

CIPC will facilitate open play sessions held at Parkside Fitness for our indoor season beginning October 5th.  This is a continuation of our outdoor open plays held at Glen Oak this year with a few minor adjustments.  It will be held every Sunday from 3-6 PM at Parkside Fitness in Pekin.    Our indoor open play season is currently scheduled to run through May 10th but may be adjusted based on Spring 2026 weather.

Each Sunday will cater to different groups/skill levels.  Every Sunday will alternate between Novice/Social and Intermediate/Advanced.  We will have an organized 4 on/4 off paddle rack system utilizing 6 pickleball courts.  Registration for these open play sessions is required on our website.  It is free to register on our site; however each person will need to pay $5.00 at the door when you check-in, paid to Parkside for the use of their facility.  You must register for each individual Sunday that you plan to attend.  Attendance for each Sunday is capped at 30 people to keep wait time off the courts to a minimum.

Intermediate/Advanced Open Play Description

These open plays are dedicated to those that would consider themselves Intermediate to Advanced players.  To use a snow skiing analogy, this session is for those that would be on blue to black runs.  These sessions (depending the make-up of the players on the court for each game) could range from a balance of recreational/competitive play to more advanced competitive games.

If you would like information on how to better define and determine your skill level, please visit the USA Pickleball website or follow the below link to USAP's definitions of skill levels.  There are also helpful skill assessment sheets available for download to assist you in evaluating yourself.

CIPC would like to extend a special thank you Parkside Fitness for their willingness to partner with our club to facilitate these events.  It is our hope that these events can enhance the pickleball experiences available in our community.
