Central Illinois Pickleball Club Indoor Open Play Season

"Sunday Funday"

Registration closes at noon on Fridays

CIPC will facilitate open play sessions held at Parkside Fitness for our indoor season beginning November 1st   This is a continuation of our outdoor open plays held at Glen Oak this year with a few minor adjustments.  It will be held every Sunday from 3-6 PM at Parkside Fitness in Pekin.

Each Sunday will cater to different groups/skill levels.  Every Sunday will alternate between Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Ladder open play.  We will have an organized 4 on/4 off paddle rack system utilizing 6 pickleball courts.  Registration for these open play sessions is required on our website.  It is free to register on our site; however each person will need to pay $5.00 at the door when you check-in, paid to Parkside for the use of their facility.  You must register for each individual Sunday that you plan to attend.  Attendance for each Sunday is capped at 30 people to keep wait time off the courts to a minimum.

Beginner Open Play Description

Beginner Play is a skill level dedicated to those that are learning the game and at the earlier stages of development/shot execution.  This session is for those that would consider themselves novice players.  To use a snow skiing analogy, this session is for those that would be on the bunny hill through the green runs and is intended to be a safe and informative place to learn and play the game, make new friends, and have some laughs.

If you would like information on how to better define and determine your skill level, please visit the USA Pickleball website or follow the below link to USAP's definitions of skill levels.  There are also helpful skill assessment sheets available for download to assist you in evaluating yourself.

CIPC would like to extend a special thank you Parkside Fitness for their willingness to partner with our club to facilitate these events.  It is out hope that these events can enhance the pickleball experiences available in our community.
